Set within the ancient complex of San Giovanni della Calza, founded in 1373 by Bindo Benini as a hospice for pilgrims and travelers, this former monastery, now elegantly restored, safeguards centuries of memories and beauty.

Originally under the patronage of the Hospitaller Sisters of St. John, known as the Ladies of Malta, it later passed to the Ingesuati friars, renowned for their painted glasswork, called punti. Their distinctive hood, shaped like a stocking, gave its name to the entire complex and the adjacent square.

Its halls, once graced by masters such as Perugino and Ghirlandaio, still hold vaulted ceilings, cloisters, and stones that echo with centuries of art and devotion.

At the heart of the complex, the evocative inner courtyard offers an intimate setting for relaxation, convivial gatherings, or simply the embrace of a timeless atmosphere.
